Our Mission — To provide services that promote the business success and
professional vitality of KPSC stockholder pharmacies

The Kansas Independent Pharmacy Service Corporation (KPSC) Board of Directors and staff want our stockholders and all Kansas independents to understand the whole picture — the comprehensive and determined way that KPSC is providing opportunities for you. Only KPSC offers this level and breadth of service to move Independent Pharmacy positively forward.

What's New

KPSC has been the leader in serving the needs of Kansas independents for 26 years. You can learn more about our many programs, initiatives and benefits on this website or by contacting us at 1-800-279-3022. Stockholders have everyday access to the Stockholders Only section for Fax-O-Grams and other information.

KPSC is the Voice of Independent Pharmacy in Kansas. We represent you with leadership and great experience on many federal and state legislative/ regulatory issues. We have been very active, alongside NCPA, in opposing the Express Scripts-Medco merger. KPSC recently communicated concerns on the proposed merger to Jerry Moran's office, directly leading to him send a letter to the FTC citing the need for a full investigation into this transaction. We also have worked regularly with KDHE/Medicaid as they plan transformation of the Medicaid program. We also worked with Medicaid to share concerns about the September RAC audits. We take pride in our broad and experienced advocacy on behalf of your pharmacy.

The 2012 KPSC Mid-Year Meeting will be held May 5 and 6, at the Oread Hotel in Lawrence. Please save this weekend on your calendar and plan to attend. Information on the Mid-Year will be going out in late February.

KPSC has moved to its new corporate offices at 4125 SW Gage Center Drive in Topeka. The new offices are well adapted to our operational needs. We will continue to provide you with all our services at the new location.

Pace has a very competitive agreement for stockholders with McKesson as our national partner. Besides excellent cost of goods, monthly rebates and year end distributions, this relationship is also dedicated to the advocacy needs of KPSC’s stockholders. McKesson recently provided $10,000 to KPSC’s EOG scholarship fund to help provide awards to the growing number of K.U. pharmacy students who are showing strong interest in independent pharmacy.

KPSC provides flexibility for stockholders, that may wish to use a different wholesaler (via a program announced in summer 2010) to be grandfathered as stockholders so they may continue to access all of KPSC’s important services.

KPSC's Entrepreneurial Opportunities Group (EOG) initiative is in its fourteenth (14) year educating KU pharmacy students on the advantages of a career in independent pharmacy. The EOG scholarship program has awarded 154 scholarships to 112 students since 1998. KPSC has contributed over $70,000 for EOG scholarships. A growing number of past EOG scholarship winners are now owners of or employees at Kansas independent practices. The EOG is building the next generation of Kansas independents.

A key initiative of KPSC is our campaign to promote the value of KPSC stockholder pharmacies - Kansas Hometown Pharmacy - The People Who Take Care of You. The fifth edition of Kansas Hometown Pharmacy will be coming in early 2012. Patients can find Kansas Hometown Pharmacies in their area by visiting www.kshometownpharmacy.com.

KPSC believes in maintaining excellent communications with stockholders on current issues and KPSC programs. We share information regularly by Fax-O-Gram to help keep our stockholders up to date on issues affecting their practices. And, when you call KPSC for help, you always know you will get great service and timely responses.

Our Volume Purchasing Marketing Representative, Ron Yoder, travels to visit stockholder and non-stockholder pharmacies. Ron is an important part of the KPSC team, sharing important news on the many services of KPSC as well as collecting your feedback.

If your pharmacy is not a KPSC stockholder, contact us today to find out how you can join your peers on the KPSC team.
